Frequently Asked Questions

HOW IS MY DOG/CAT EXERCISED DURING THEIR STAY?

Exercise is an important part of all boarders’ daily routine.
Cats have access via cat flaps to individual outside runs where they can survey the world. Whilst they can see their neighbours, they are separated by ‘sneeze barriers’ to help protect them from airbourne viruses.

Dogs have their own individual runs attached to their kennels. They are also exercised in grass paddocks.

DOES MY DOG/CAT NEED TO BE VACCINATED?

Yes. All pets must be up to date with annual vaccinations and proof must be presented on arrival for cats this must include feline panleukopenia, feline parvovirus, feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus.

Primary vaccination courses must be completed at least 2 weeks before acceptance into boarding.

Dogs must have canine parvovirus, canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis and leptospirosis.

If your dog is receiving the kennel cough vaccination, it is advised that it is administered at least 10 days before arrival.

We can also accept a vet certificate of a recent protective titre test instead of a booster vaccination. The certificate must state that it is valid for the current period.

Do you provide food for my pet while staying?

For dogs we stock James Wellbeloved Complete kibble, James Wellbeloved Grain free kibble, mixer biscuit, Chappie Complete, tinned meats including Winalot, Chappie and tinned tripe meat.

For cats we have James Wellbeloved Complete biscuit and meat pouches in jelly.

You are welcome to bring your pets own food from home, please label clearly with their name and the amount they would normally have at home.

CAN I BRING MY DOG/CAT'S BED FOR THEIR STAY?

We supply all beds and bedding during your pet’s stay, but do allow you to bring your own bedding to help your pet settle in. Your pet’s bedding will be returned to you on collection, but accidents do happen so we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage. Please ensure all items brought in are clearly labelled.

CAN I VIEW THE KENNELS AND CATTERY BEFORE I MAKE A BOOKING?

Yes, we welcome viewings Monday – Saturday between 11am and 12pm. Although this does not include Bank Holidays.

Just arrive between these times and one of our staff would be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

We keep viewings to a limited time as the dogs in our care are priority and limited viewing times help to keep disturbing them to a minimum.

Do you accept XL Bully dogs?

No. We do not accept XL Bully dogs or any banned breeds.

Is there a deposit to pay?

We require a £50 deposit from new customers which must be paid within 7 days of booking.

HOW CAN I PAY?

We accept payment by cash, Visa or Mastercard.
